SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
FORESEEN USE
Lashing ring weld-on type for anchorage.
NOT SUITABLE FOR LIFTING PEOPLE
CHECK SUITABILITY OF ROTATING EYEBOLTS ART.800 BEFORE USE AND YEARLY
Before each use make sure that:
- The eyebolt shows no defects due to wear, corrosion, cracks, or visible deformations.
- Markings are clearly legible.
- The loads to be lifted are in compliance with the rated capacities of the eyebolt (the working load limits are specified on the eyebolt and in the user manual).
- The diameter of the welded ring has not been reduced by more than 10% of the nominal diameter due to wear at any contact point.
- The weld is intact and shows no wear, corrosion or cracks
- If these checks give a negative outcome, the eyebolt must not be used any more, and must be replaced.
Please remember:
- Inspections must be carried out by qualified personnel.
THE WELD
- The lifting clamp to be welded must be fitted by a qualified person as it is used for lifting operations which must be conducted in compliance with machinery directive 2006/42/EC and subsequent modifications
- Welding must be done by a qualified person in accordance with standard EN ISO 9606
- The bases to be welded are made of S355J2+N steel
- The welding bead must be round and closed
- Attention:
Weld the base of the clamp with the ring in a vertical position. To avoid compromising the functionality of the spring please wait for the welding point to cool down before inclining/orientating the ring.
- The minimum thickness of the weld bead is shown on the reference chart.
- The welding bead must be of the HV type and must have a continuous angle. This weld complies with the DIN 18800 standard
- To weld the lifting clamp, the preheated temperature must be between 130°C and 170°C.
- Never weld directly forged and tempered clamps (painted in black) and avoid heating these clamps during welding.
- Avoid the sudden cooling of the weld
- Position the clamp in accordance with the load to be lifted taking care to avoid unauthorised stresses such as load twisting or overturning

THE SUPPORTING WALL
- Ensure that it is suitable for welding (ordinary steal with max carbon content of 0.40%); for safety’s sake, request approval from the manufacturer
- Ensure that there are no surface defects, cracks or roughness
- Ensure that it is suitably flat in order to guarantee a good foundation for the surface of the base to be welded
- Ensure that it is large enough to prevent deformations or stress ruptures
- If the instructions are not adhered to serious damage can be caused to things and injuries to people
- Normative references to be taken into consideration for selection and placement of the clamps art. 821: EN 12640 – EN 75410 – EN 12195/1
NOT ALLOWED:
- Do not use eyebolts in acid high corrosion chemical substance environment and/or in an explosive atmosphere
- Η χρήση σε θερμοκρασίες εκτός του εύρους -20°C έως 400°C.
- Do not exceed the capacity specified on the reference chart
- Do not used for operations which defer from the ones that are foreseen
- Do not use to life people
- Never weld directly forged and tempered clamps (painted in black) and avoid heating these clamps during welding.
- Do not stand during use in dangerous areas (dangerous areas means areas which are deemed risky due to falling of load during movement with accessories)
- If changes, repairs and/or treatments are made to the product, the terms of the guarantee are no longer applicable and the manufacturer declines all liability
STORAGE:
The device must be stored in a suitable environment (e.g. dry, non-corrosive, etc.)
